
The Super Tuscan category was created in order to allow vintners to produce and blend wine varietals outside traditional regulations. This has allowed the most suited grape varietals to be grown in previously regulated areas, resulting in some of the finest wines ever produced in Italy.
Sassicaia
Meaning "the place of many stones", this wine is medium-dark ruby in the glass, with pretty aromas of spice, black currant, cherries and blackberries. This Tuscan red is full-bodied no the palate, with intense, velvety tannins and a wonderfully long finish. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc Blend.

Translating to "the place of wolf hunts". This red is solid and compaced, with intense aromas of smoke, dark chocolate and ripe fruit. Full-bodied with lots of chewy tannins, and a long, long finish. This wine shows some class, with a very extracted style! Cabernet and Merlot blend, 2003.
